My interest in the creative field began when I was about six years old. My grandmother was quite talented as artist and had even sold her work to customers requesting. I looked up to her and wanted to replicate her level of artwork. I tried but found out it took a lot of time and patience to achieve her level of work. I continued to draw as most six years old do but I never seek achieve something till high school. I started attending art class but I was very inexperienced in all fields of creative art. I stayed in the class but I didn't really achieve much till my senior years. Being in my senior years I started to appreciate various different form things. I started to learn about what goes behind animating, game design and techniques in art. I continued to learn and discover new things and begun to practice what I learnt.
I continued to practice drawing when I felt the need to practice. I mostly did drawing in class though my grandmother did take time to teach me. My grandmother has been my role-model, inspiration and has encouraged me to aim towards a career in animation. Even till this day she will mentor and assist whenever I ask to improve myself. I started to direct my interest with animation after I was introduced to anime. My friend knew I had an interest in animation so he insisted I watch “Sword Art Online”.
The style of anime was so appealing to me, I watched anything and everything I could find. It had such a wide range of different styles. The style was simplistic but it still showed proper perspective and figures. I attempted to practice drawing in the anime style but that also clashed with my classes. I was studying two artistic classes, photo-imaging and authority art. These classes were useful as they taught me many find fundamentals in the creative field. Studying these classes lead to my highest achievement award for photo-imaging. The principles I knew for creating art helped me push to achieve.
In the final months before I graduated, I searched for a uni that would benefit my studies.Sae Qantm had appealed to me, primarily as it is a specialist university that focus’ on the creative field. Attending my years at SAE were indeed fun but full of hard worked hours. This leaves the end goal to move to Japan and create the very thing that inspired me, Anime.
